Summary

The Navy seeks development and demonstration of a compact, ruggedized shortwave infrared high‑energy laser source operating at 1.9‑2.5 µm with a coupled range‑gated imaging sensor for real‑time doppler data collection and object visualization. The system is intended to improve maritime engagement ranges in adverse atmospheric conditions and be scalable from small UAV mounts to larger platform installations.
