Sole Source - Gray Whale Survey, Photo ID & UAS Monitoring
Summary
NOAA intends to sole source a contract to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Molecular Genetics Laboratory for twelve annual vessel-based gray whale surveys, photographic identification, and uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) monitoring along the Pacific coast. The effort combines traditional boat surveys with drone imaging to improve data quality on the Pacific Coast Feeding Group gray whales.
