The Department of War's Office of the Secretary of Defense is seeking SBIR proposals to develop industrially scalable production methods for an infrared-transparent composite ceramic with sub-100 nm microstructural features and low porosity. The same office also seeks a lightweight solar-driven system that converts water and carbon dioxide into methanol fuel for soldier power sustainment in austere environments. The Air Force Research Laboratory is soliciting one Superconducting Nanowire Single-Photon Detection system and ancillary items to support advanced quantum photonic research. DARPA's Information Processing Techniques Office issued a Broad Agency Announcement inviting revolutionary research ideas beyond its existing programs.
