DARPA issued a solicitation for compact cold-atom devices and ultra-high Q MEMS and photonics components built on microscale ultra-high vacuum systems. DARPA's Tactical Technology Office released a solicitation to accelerate new platform and weapon classes that aim to dominate current battlespaces.
