NOAA’s Office of Coast Survey Center of Excellence intends to procure a R2SONIC 2020‑V PLUS wideband multi‑beam echo‑sounding system and an RTK integrated inertial navigation system (I2NS) from R2SONIC LLC for use on ultra‑compact, low‑power uncrewed surface vessels. The buy is driven by the need for a lightweight, low‑power sonar that can be fully manipulated by students for hands‑on hydrographic training, which existing fleet systems cannot provide.
